Out with the Festival, in with the Twestival.

Out with the Festival, in with the Twestival.

EdTwestivalIt’s the second Edinburgh Twestival (@EdTwestival), taking place at  Electric Circus (@circusedinburgh), and we’re delighted to announce that we’ll be taking to the stage on this Thursday 10th of September to entertain all the avid tweeters of Edinburgh.

For those of you non-tweeters, The Edinburgh Twestival is a gathering for everyone in Edinburgh who uses the social micro blogging site, Twitter. As well as being a wonderful opportunity to meet the like minded and friendly tweeters of Edinburgh in person, it will also be raising funds for the charity, CLIC Sargent. Its an incredibly worthy cause, so please take the time to visit their site and see some of the hard work that they do.

With similar events taking place in most of Britain’s main cities, we’re very pleased to once again to be taking part in such an exciting and rapidly growing event. Joining us on the line up will be;  Calamateur, Chutes and The Banana Sessions.

And if all this didnt have you quivering with excited anticipation as it is, you’ll even get the chance to win some Epic26 goodies, and the chance to join us on stage, in our Edinburgh Twestival competition.  5 runners up will recieve a copy of our EP, while the winner will get a T-shirt, copy of our EP AND get to join us on stage on the night to play cowbell…Yes thats right, join us on stage and give that cowbell a proper pounding while you shake your ass.

“How do I win?”, I hear you cry at your computer screen, as your neigbour bangs on the floor telling you to shut up.  Well, all you have to do is tweet the following phrase;

‘pound their cowbell as gently as @epic26′

replace the word in bold with how YOU like to pound YOUR cowbell (i.e harshly, smoothly romantically), and if we pick your tweet, you could find yourself on stage with us at @EdTwestival doing exactly that!

As excited as we are at playing our second EdTwestival, we’re equally excited about returning to The Electric Circus, the scene of our EP Launch. This amazing venue has grown in reputation since it’s opening, as one of Edinburgh’s finest and classiest venues (check out the chez longes!). So we’re eagerly anticipating our return to such a formidable venue. If you’d like to know more about Twitter, why not join twitter where you can follow all of @epic26‘s updates and find out exactly what we’re up to at any time. You can also find all the latest news and announcements on this years Edinburgh Twestival by following @edtwestival.
